The grade 8 Social Studies teachers are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for all grade 8 students. Members of the Assinaboine Park Conservatory will be coming to our school totalk about Zues’ Secret Garden. We have been studying Greek Mythology in our unit on Ancient Greece , and this presentation demonstrates that while Zues, Aphrodite, and Demeter may have been mythical, the plants discussed in their stories are very real.
The presentation will take place in your child’s regular classroom. At the end of the presentation each student will take home a plant . To help offset the cost of this incredible workshop we are asking that the students bring $4 to their homeroom teacher tomorrow.
